Has anyone bought one of these JDM black headlight housings from Ebay? I see quite a few of them for around $100. What I'm concerned about is that I have factory Xenons and I am unclear as to whether they work for Xenon setups. None of them appear to say so. Please help. I'm considering them for my 03 sedan.

 

They only work with halogens from what I understand, and are cheaply made and leak. Just paint your stock headlights

 

When people paint the headlight housings..Do they do it from the outside or inside?

 

If you're using the painting method, you'll have to open up the headlights and paint the chrome pieces after masking off the reflectors. Painting the clear headlight lens cover would look weird. Besides, an easier method would be just to get overlays which are removable.

 

Yeah overlays are probably better.

 

Overlays are easier, not necessarily better, probably worse lookin IMO

 

the housing on ebay is only made for halogens..unless u actually buy one that has hids already and it is not cheaply made..its very well constructed but only supports halogen
