Aftermarket bumper mesh

I just purchased a Nismo bumper and I need some mesh to fill in the ducts. I'm guessing customautomesh.com is the best place to go, but does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure how it'll look. I'm not sure if tighter mesh will look better... For those that have purchased mesh for their aftermarket bumpers, what do you guys think?

I can also go to Home Depot and just buy some metal ones and paint them black, but rock chips will slowly eat away the paint, which is why I'm leaning towards just getting them from customautomesh..

Has anyone used customautomesh on their front bumpers? ..more specifically, the Nismo one?

Pics please.

Thanks,
Jeff

This is a good question, I am also getting this bumper. I would like to also know how to put the mesh onto the bumper. What do you guys use. Sorry don't mean to highjack your thread.

I believe the bumper should have little spots specifically for little tacks or nails to install the mesh.

Can't I just stick the mesh somehow in the "back side" of the bumper before I install it so I don't have to cut it to size/shape of the duct?

not that i know of. The Nismo bumper has the black unpainted plastic in the vents that would need to cut out in order to put the mesh flush with the painted surface of the hole. TTrank cut his bumper to get more flow to his twin turbo intercooler...you may want to do a search/contact him if that's what you want to do.

I purchased a Nismo replica bumper from Klumzyee.. and I believe his has a place to mount the mesh. Maybe it's different with the genuine Nismo.

For coupe or sedan? I have a sedan and there are pockets in the vents. I think the coupe doesn't have those???

That's $42 + shipping.. compared to $6? My body shop is gonna install the mesh anyway. It can't be that hard, can it? Plus, I'm still not sure how tight I want the weave/mesh to be. This way, I can kind of see how it'll look before I permanently put it on. $6 isn't too much to test and see.

I agree - I replied to your PM. Good luck...check out the link I sent...the material looks surprisingly similar. $42 vs. $6...
