Question Coupe vs. Sedan side mirrors - are they different?

Does anyone know if the mirror & housings are different or are they the same? The coupe mirrors look smaller from photos, but I wanted to confirm. Also, if they are different, does anyone know if I can install coupe mirrors on a sedan?

In case you're wondering, I want to get in on the LED mirrors that a forum member is making (all of his current customers are coupe owners)...he too doesn't know the answer to this right now.

Thanks

They are very different. The "arm" on the sedan is thicker, has contours, etc. The coupe's "arm" is flat like the "Z" mirror. The mirror itself is different shaped (flat bottom, flat side, curved top). The sedan is curved all around.

The question I have is whether the triangle window mount is the same...if it is, then you replace the entire thing. If it isn't (which I assume is the case - the angles are probably all different), then we're out of luck.

I've always liked the coupe mirrors more than the sedan ones.

i am pretty sure but have not confirmed that the trianle mount is different... they follow the slope of the windshield and driver/passenger windows which is lower on the coupe

Thanks guys.

Rocket - have you seen the LED coupe mirror mod I'm talking about? It's HOT!

Nghiars - very good point about the angle of the triangle!
