What do you think?! ...

I'm thinking about getting a nose bra for my black coupe. My front bumber is all rock chipped. I figure i'd use a bra to cover up the scars.

You think I should do it? Does the bra scratch the paint?

If you have rock chips already does it matter? But to answer your question No. They are designed not to scratch the paint. The propose of a bra is to protect the paint not to hurt the paint.

Even though the nose bras do serve a function, I just never liked the way they looked. I'd rather just live with the rock chips showing.

Your car is black so you wont have to worry about that.

Most body shops will match the color, they have people that specialize in that and have years of experience. Plus like it was said before your car is black, it's not going to be too hard to match lol.

But to answer your original question i'd say this is a good time to upgrade, get a Kuruma Z front and then get it protected with 3M film clear bra...

The real vinyl bras looks ugly iMO

I put the bra on when driving from cali to vegas. Tons of dust particulars make it inside the cotton material. Microsopic scratches that can easily be taken off with Scratch X.

paint the bumper and buy the bra. use the bra when driving far or on freeway that has lots for rocks.

bra off for car shows, get togethers, or for around town driving.

Repaint the bumper. Install a clear bra and then use the vinyl bra on long trips. With the clear bra the vinyl one won't scratch the paint!
