Replacement Side mirror PIECE
I've got a 2003 G35 coupe. I have had a terrible mishap and my baby is hurting.
Some d-bag has jumped on my Driver Side mirror and snapped the triangular black plastic piece.
Does anyone happen to A.) happen to have one laying around?
or B) know where i can get one ?
Thanks all, i just want to get my g looking good again.
Thanks all.
The black triangular piece. Not red. Thanks filanj for the pic, i stole from your mirror wear thread

^what costs between $60-80????? the mirror is like $200 or something i forget exactly but it was more than that.
you could probably just switch mirrors and use the new piece. With mine I had to get it painted anyways because my old one was messed up a little from when it was broken off (hit and run in a parking lot).

You have to buy the whole mirror. You can get it online for $150 or so. If the only part that is broken from your original mirror is the black plastic base(not the painted shell of the mirror or the actual mirror glass itself), you can remove the plastic base off of the new mirror you buy(held on by 3 screws to the base), pull the pins out of the wiring harness and feed the wires back out through the new plastic shell, and then mount your old mirror onto the new plastic mounting piece and reinstall. I had to do that about 2 years ago when some ***** broke my sideview off in a parket lot at Fenway Park.
Let me know if you need more details on how to do the install. It's not that hard really.

You have to buy brand new mirrors from infiniti that are ranged from 200-220 depending on where you purchase them...I recently had the LED mirrors put into a second set of OEM mirorrs that i had and in the process of shipping the the bases of the mirrors were snapped in half when i received them. On top of that the ones that i bought off ebay were in pristine condition and when arrived at Scootches Body Shop in Mass. they glass was broken. I had to buy replacement glass and a new heating element that i purchased off ebay and what sucks is that the glass was a little bit smaller than the OEM and the heating element/pad on the back of the mirrors was bigger then that glass itself...the only route to go to get your mirror back to normal is to buy Brand New from infiniti because they do not carry parts for mirrors...why....im not sure. But good luck with trying to get it fixed.

That black plastic mounting piece is really the only part that ever breaks on these mirrors, and it's unfortunate you can't order that mounting piece seperately... but all things considered, $150 really isn't that bad for a power mirror with heat. If you brought it to a dealer and had them fix it, they would probably charge you like $600 for it(at least that's what they quoted me for the labor and painting of the new one)... so $150 and 1 hour of your time is a worthwile savings.
the only options listed at the top of the page to choose through are only non-heated for 150....the heated mirror glass and the heated mirror assembly from a dealer or anyone else is 210.00. the 210.00 is for the base, cover, glass that has the heating element on the back.
