Front Lip / Side Skirts Paint and Install

I just purchased a replica Data System front lip and Impul side skirts. How much do think it would cost to have the lip and side skirts prepped, painted and installed?

I was quoted $169 just to have the lip prepped and painted, not including installation.

Thanks in advance.

I got both from Klumzyee (Eric) who responds quickly and is a great seller to deal with.

Anyone have an estimate on the cost of prepping and painting a front lip and side skirts?

Presuming these pieces are fibreglass .. a good body shop will "test fit" the pieces as a form of "prep work". This "test fit" would be as close to an actual install if you just wanted to have the pieces installed W/O the paint work.

The "test fit" will identify - what needs to be modified on the pieces (cut, shaved, trimed, re-done, etc...) or on your G itself. I've learned that even under the strictest quality control systems, even for reputable mfgs .. bodykit parts have some variences.

I'd say the $169 for prep/paint is pretty good (I'd ask if they plan to "test fit") and throw in say $75-$90 for actual install. Most likely the sideskirts will run you $150-$200 over total (of front lip) since its 2pcs.

Just going from memory when I had .. airdam, sideskirt and rear valence work done on my Z ..

The lip just needs to be fitted once before install (you can do that yourself) the lip literally hugs the bumper so it'll stay on with no screws or tape... after that just send the front to be painted (lip is urethane and will never change from the 1st piece to the 200th)

Impul sideskirts are fiberglass. however we've installed many for clients without prefitting.. although we recommend prefitting and drilling anyways just to make sure the paint will not flake or crack in the future
