Red face n00b here: SKYLINE badging

Hi everybody, my name is Dee and i recently just picked up a 04 Ivory Pearl
G35 6MT... I want to do a skyline jdm conversion to my G. I know all the original badges have to be shaved then rebadged with the new ones. My question is, are the authentic skyline badges suppose to be silver or black chrome? Are the ones on ebay just the same quality as from a vendor? if vendor, who sells them at the best prices? Thanks for reading.

PS: just to make sure i got this right, its the "skyline" badge, "3.50 GT", and a nissan badge front/back, correct? dont want to be missing anything here

they are both authentic. they are supposed to come in silver, and some people had them black chromed.

you need the nissan (front and back), skyline, and 350gt emblems if you want all the emblems.

as for where to buy them, i dont think i saw any emblems that weren't oem, but you should check anyway. i think the ebay ones will do just fine - just make sure that you're getting nissan oem. or you could check the vendors here, like intense and everythingg35.com.

and congratulations and welcome

they are originally chrome.

if you wanna do a conversion, then you also need the door sills, change the floor mats/seats, airbag cover, and mod the clock.

^^^ ditto...not that $hit again

Welcome to driver and congrats on your 04 5mt.

Here's the Nissan JDM oem numbers in case your get yours on Ebay and want to know if you buying authentic.
I wouldnt buy from Ebay unless they list these, otherwise get where other ppl have said. Think infiniti of riverside has them too.

Nissan Rear Emblem #84890-AM900
Skyline Rear Emblem #84895-AM900
350GT Rear Emblem #84896-AM900
Nissan Front Grille Emblem #62890-AM900

conversion was a poor choice in wording, i agree. full re-badge would have been a better choice.

what's a poser?

Yes, you are correct—JDM badge conversion is a poor choice! You can't eliminate all the Infiniti logos without some serious work. I understand the want for individuality...but why bother. What are you going to do about the seat stitching, the clock, the stereo, you can buy a Nissan steering wheel...I don't understand the point. Save your $$$ for performance mods!
