Cool 06 Pre-Recall headlights worth the money?

I want to upgrade my 05 coupe with 06 D2S projector headlights, I'm planing on getting a set on ebay and using my current ballast. My question is are pre-recall headlights really worth the money and would I be able to fix them or should I get a set of post-recall or 07 headlights ?
I want to spend the money on something that works correctly, I don't want the lights to aim to the left . I also won't have the option of having the dealer fix the pre-recall since my car is not an 06.

I saw this before and it states "if you've...even had the recall work done" the headlights I'm talking about have NOT had the recall done. So that being said can the aiming of an 06 headlight correct a pre-recall headlihgts? or does the recall have to be made before the aiming can correct the issue?

I upgraded my headlights and the G looks great! Although I was prepared to aim the headlights once I installed them (there's a thread on here explaining how to aim them), I realized during the measurment step that my headlights were alread aimed correctly. It took me about an hour to swap out the headlights.....and I'm glad I did!
