I was thinking instead of painting the housing black like so many people on a set of 06's, I would have someone overlay the housing with real cf to compliment the rest of the plans I have for the car. What do you guys think?

no i was thinking real cf resined on...something tonester might be able to do

 

might looks pretty sick

 

I would seriously doubt that you could wrap that piece in CF smoothly, some of the edges are just too sharp
