you're using those weights hypothetically, right?

Mastergrade has expressed interest in making a hood for the G35 coupe...but only time will tell. They are the only vacuum infusing company I know of in the US. There might be one that starts with a "V" but makes only european vehicles.

what? i have a vacuum bagging\heat curing system in my garage.

bring me the molds and you'll have the lightest\strongest parts ever. no joke.

I'm planning out a pre-preg uni-carbon (not cloth\no weave) roof right now. you guys should see the carbon it looks like snails crawled all over it

The stock aluminum hood is pretty damn light. I've swapped hoods several times on a couple different G's. Stillen's fiberglass hood was considerably heavier!

one of the locals measured his OEM hood and the seibon TS hood, and found the carbon hood only weighed ~5lbs less at most. Not a mod to do for weight savings with our aluminum hoods

i did a small weight reduction on mine...cf hood/doors/trunk/fenders /removal of front aluminum brace/spare tire...took off approx 250-270lbs..the stock doors are approx. 90-92 lbs per door...this is do to a steel rod placed in the door for side impact...the seats are also heavy...very heavy..about 77lbs/seat..the aluminum front brace is also heavy..id say about 30lbs..maybe lighter..and spare tire...maybe 25lbs at best...but id say over all the doors are prob the heaviest on the vehicle, if your wanting to reduce weight!! note:new CF doors...not the safest, weighing only 16lbs with windows and regulators in them...but i dont drive mine much...t-bone would be BAD
