make sure if you take it to a shop that they prep the surface properly and don't just spray over the grill, other wise the paint will chip and flake off. surface needs to be stripped, primed, painted then cleared. this will cost you more than $47 to have done right.

I vote for blacked out grill and remove the billets.

Part of my job in the Navy is to paint Aircraft, I'll be ok.
But thanks for letting everybody else know.

I actually like some contrast. On OB I like the stock look and I like the OEM grille. I plan on refinishing mine after reading a thread in another forum where the member created a brushed aluminum look by sanding off the plastic chrome. If you go blacked out, maybe leave the outside perimeter of the grille chrome with the inner spars painted black and the chrome Mt Fuji emblem for a little contrast. Just my .02 cents.

Good Idea,

BTW: The lower Billet Grilles will go away as soon as I cut out the stock ones.
(This will only happen when there a GReddy Intercooler behind it)

^^That's it^^

I going blacked out with chrome a Mt. Fiji and Perimeter. I'm also going to black out lower Billets grilles too (Even thought 99.9% of the board hate them, which I knew you would)

I going to try to do it this weekend if it's not below 32F . I'll pic's of the finish product As soon as it's done.

Get rid of the bottom billet grills, but it is your car so have fun. I use to have the billets myself, i enjoyed it for a while and it does look better in real life.

if you paint the grill black, you should probably get it clear bra'd, because when you get rock chips, it's going to look like crap...
