06 Sports Coupe - Splash Guards Just Installed

I just got front and rear splash guards installed today on my 06 Sports Coupe. The rear looks fine, but the front seem to have like a gap (about thickness of a penny) between the side skirt and the splash guard. For those of you already have it installed, does yours fully touch the the side skirt without any gaps? Maybe this is a known issue on the Sports models?

I kept messing with the screw for front splash guard, it now would not fully tighten. The screw does still screw in and gets stiff, but just kept turning and turning without completely tighten.

Any advice?
