Curious if these are installed the same way as taillight overlays with soapy water or just lined up and stuck on? Can anyone chime in?

Had a local tint shop that also works with full car vinyl wraps etc do the install. They did a great job on the install! Here are some pics. I know it's not a coupe 
Please direct me to another section if needed 
Oh and if anyone cares it cost me 55$, I don't know how this compares to bat's installers. But I'm nowhere near any so I did not mind paying this instead risking messing it up myself having 0 patience

Posted up there as well! and Thunder bay, Ontario Canada. Pretty much middle of nowhere! I am a 45 minute drive from the Minnesota border.
The shop is called Ming car care, run by an older guy. They just moved locations and it's kind of a used car/car care center now. I'll Pm you there info if you wanna see if they will be a local installer here.
Just letting you know our car scene in Thunder bay is very small, it's all old people with classic cars.
