why not just use fender-flares from a 350z bodykit i beleive they sell just the flares and the application should be almost identical..plus the work done would be fiberglass...without all that tig welding

Because all steel > fiberglass any day of the week. Also, when you mold fiberglass to metal you run the risk of cracks at the attachment point. Also if anything even touches a fiberglass flare, it's bye bye. Steel can be bent back to shape if need be.

I applaud the shop's old school way to making the flares.

wow....looks amazing! Color is great too. Those Kenstyle sideskirts work really well with the wider fenders....flows really well.

Can't wait to see the final outcome of this car.
