H1 HID Conversion...

First, sorry for the post but I have spent a couple of days looking for this already with no luck.

Second, I know the conversion kits are not the ideal solution but right now that is my only option.

My question is for the H1 low beams the stock halogen has one terminal on it, but the kit comes with two wires...I know the one wire will go to the old halogen plug that is already in the car, but the other wire (ground???) escapes me.

Anyone have any idea where I might terminate this wire?

I assume it should run to some grounding area inside the housing but I really have no idea at this point.

Any suggestions would be awesome!!!

Thanks All,

Jayjay

Why is staying stock not an option?

The ground wire for the H1 is part of the ground wire for the little city light that goes in the fog light area.

Red,

Of course staying stock is an option, but I wanted to go HID instead of halogen and have other parts I want to spend some money on at the moment so to go HID the kit is it right now...

The reason he is asking is because when you put a HID kit into a non-HID housing, you'll cause a lot of glare to the drivers in front of you. People in front of your will be thinking that you driving with your high beams on. Even if you aim your fog lights all the way down, it'll still cause some glare.

Yes, you can ground the negative wire to the black wire of the city light.
