I know this is a stupid question, but I just bought my '05 G35 like 2 weeks ago. I opened my hood about a week ago and noticed that the emblem on the engine cover is missing. Does anyone know where I can just get the infiniti emblem for that and not just buy the entire engine cover which is about $200+ bucks at the dealership?

 

A lot of people sell their used engine covers in perfect condition for ~$50-60 shipped. I highly doubt you can purchase the emblem for this alone.

I got one locally for AED 35 which is like $10 and painted it gold for my engine cover.

 

Nice clint, the emblem looks really good. What kinda paint did you use on it?

 

I used Ace hardware brand metallic spray paint - I was lucky though as it matched my rims perfectly

Painting it - just sanded the emblem down, painted one coat, then light sanding and another coat.

Not a perfect job since its under the hood anyways.
