I jus bought the sqaure tow hook cover from infiniti.. My car is has an Obsidian Black paint job and the tow hook cover is flat black.
I bought some OEM touch up paint and painted my Hillman nylon hole plugs to plug up the holes in my bumper... I had a lot of the touch up paint left so I covered the tow hook cover with it. Now the problem is that the cover has VERY un-even bumpy paint.
I haven't applied any clear coat yet. What should I do to make it nice, smooth and even? Sand it down? What grit?
here are some bad pics.

you painted it with a brush? Buy some color matched spraypaint, that will never turn out right
Yes, I used the brush that comes on the touch up paint.. Should I just use the 600 grit to smooth it out then clear coat?
Or just toss this one out and buy another one with some Glossy black duplicolor paint?
I just finished the blacked out grill DIY and it turned out great.

wetsand that one with 600 grit. take the colorcode from the manufacturing sticker and get the spray touch up paint. paint it, let it dry and use spray clearcoat. use many light coats and make sure to let it dry in between coats.
