i just went through the same thing..
what i did was bought the bumper myself, and they just took that off the price of the estimate. amongst other things as well.. look over your estimate well!! just to give an example..
they put on mine $1286 for -03' headlights. I said F that, emailed Tony at riverside,ca he did $575shipped for 06 projectors.
its really all about the shop you bring it to and if there willing to work with you or not. in the end its your car and you should decide what goes on it..

if you ar gonna get the nismo replica get it from ravspec instead of klumzyee, ravspec's fits much better and isn't wavy like klunzyee's

iv never heard of anyone having any problems with any of Klumzyees bumpers

if you know the body shop guy like you were saying just have him put it in the estimate as a bumper the insurance company doesnt need a part number or anything and get the nismo...also have them put your deductable in so that you pay anything out of pocket....they basically raise the price to include your deductable but dont charge you the full amount in the end
