Unlike most people on these forums, i want to turn off the auto dimming. I find it very annoying. I want to keep the home link as it's programed for my garage door.

How can i disable the auto dimming without having to manually turn it off every time i drive at night by hitting the switch on the mirror?

If i unplug the back of teh rear view mirror i lose the home link functionality, which i would like to keep.

Can i cover up a sensor? I cant seem to find it.

Ideas?

 

Yeah just try covering up the sensor. Sucks you have to do that because it looks kinda tacky. Maybe you can use VDC memory modules for the mirror switch. I had no idea turning off the dimmer turns off the garage door openers.

That could work as that just works off the switch, not the actual vds equipment. I guess you still have the problem of the garage dorr openers, though.

If you do decide to cover it up, just cut a piece of electrical tape to the same size as the sensor. That should work.
