Well well well, I let my gf take my car this morning to go get breakfast for us. As I lay in bed I thought I heard a noise. 20min later, she comes back upstairs and tells me breakfast is here. As I go downstairs, she stops me and says "Baby, I have something to tell you, promise you won't be mad." So here I am thinking she's going to tell me some relationship related stuff. I said "Go ahead." She said "I scratched your car." I said "How bad?" She didn't answer and just looked down.

I go downstairs and find that she backed my g35c, into her car! She nailed the front driver's side quarter panel and dented over the fender (where it creases). I am soooooooo pissed. This car has been in perfect shape for over a year and survived 40,000 miles of commuting on I-95

Am I f******d or can this be repaired with PDR? I called my local guy and I'm waiting for him to get back to me. This sucks. The car is charcoal/silver metallic, so I'm sure paint matching won't be perfect. I'll try and get some pics, needed to vent

 

It can be repaired, but probably not with PDR.

The QP's are the worst place to get hit.

 

i got hit in my rear QPs (actually both - one my fault and the other side was by buddy...) but i got both fixed and they were both on the crease...

prolly gonna cost you to paint match

 

ok look here's the deal if there is any paint missing in he crease then they cant "Paintless Dent Repair" (PDR) and if you are worried about not having any body filler (bondo) then have some one PDR the best they can then have it painted and PDR'd one more time to make sure the dents all gone.
also a fender will be cheaper to fix then a quarter panel they are 2 different parts of the car the quarter panel only has one access through the trunk or taillight.
PS as being a Body tech/painter i HATE having body filler on my ride.... and there is a horrible repair on my door to quarter passenger side im gonna section the quarter and get a new door

Anyway, I had my PDR guy come down. He actually restored the car to 95%. Sorry about confusion, dent was on fender, not QP. He cringed when he saw where it was, but really did a nice job. $75 vs a $700 paint job. I am still pissed at the gf, but I'm enjoying the sexual favors and breakfast in bed for now

 

what do you mean he restored it to 95%? does it look like garbage or sumthing? i mean jesus drive to dallas tx and ill fix it and paint it perfect for $150
