I noticed Those too when I first bought the car. Whenever I Buy a new car I PEEL off all of the plastic covers on the Radio Displays, Doorstills or whatever it may-be. I Like to Enjoy my car the way it was ment to....It would be like wareing a new shirt with the STORE TAGS on. Just my opinion tho.

Mine still had the driver's side one left when I purchased it at almost 4 years old.

To be honest I haven't looked closely enough at the passenger side... that one might be there, too

They're meant to be left on, just like the ones in front of the rear wheels.

I didn't know I had them for a while..actually I thought I had scratches on them, the salesperson thought so too and ordered me a brand new set. Then later I found out there was plastic on it and when I finally did peel it, the scratches was on the plastic. So I got new door sills for free.
