Question on vented hoods....

So I found a replica Top Secret CF hood and bumper for sale... The hood has those 6 vents.. 3 on the left and 3 on the right.

Just wondering, is this hood safe from water/ rain? They're open vents so I was just wondering how someone was to wash their car w/ that hood... What if it rains?

I searched and searched and couldn't find answers.

Can't fit an engine cover over my aftermarket plenum... Am I still safe from hydrolocking/ having an engine crack?

Search more, it's been covered....

But to answer your question, a little water never hurt anything. Try not to take a pressure washer to it, but it'll be fine with a little rain and car washing. Your engine will get dirty faster, though.

rofl.. Obviously hood pins.. I'm searching for a good set right now.. Just my main concern was water.. I guess its fine. When monsoon season comes I'm going to have to put a cover over the hood because of the high amounts of rain and strong winds.

I don't think they'd look good on a G, but I haven't seen it yet.
