06 headlights and dealer return???

06 headlights and dealer return???

can you ask the dealer for your recalled 06 headlights back after they are switched out for the regular ones by them??

you can try... most of the time they just throw them out or one of the techs will sell them on ebay

It's my understanding that Infiniti wants them destroyed. That hasn't stopped a lot of them from appearing on various forums and on ebay that are for sale. I would not believe that the dealer would give them back to you after the retrofit.

BTW, I have a pair of recalled headlights on my '03 and luv 'em.

You can ask, but they won't give them back to you. They are required to drill (destroy) them. However, in some cases, the will sell them back to you.

Since the dealer is getting the lights at no cost from Infiniti, and is also being paid for the labor involved in the retrofit, can you imagine the sanctions Infiniti would impose on the dealer if they were to find out about such a sale? Aint gonna happen
