Matte black car wrap?
this guy from sweden wrapped his m3... pics were taken from e46fanatics. he was saying you need to make sure you get a good shop as some edges, curves, corners, details, etc can be difficult to cover. his car was white prior to the wrap.

yea wraps are the way to go now i own a wrap shop and sometime we wrap car just to save the paint for resale. its price is high at first look but the wrap is rated to last up too 5 years with proper washing instructions.( and yes you can wash it like a regular car but no hands free car washes, must do it by hand) the companys that wrap charge by the sq ft when pricing a job so the can run from 2K to 4K they are not cheap but like you said there is two paint jobs with that 3K
Looks sick! I would do this if i found a shop here in bradenton/sarasota area. 3k isn't really that expensive for the matte look. The paint job by itself is typically more than that. To me you can't even tell the difference and you can take it off at anytime.
