driver side window problem

Hello,

I have a question regarding my driver side window. I am not sure if its the window motor but I noticed sometimes the window won't go up or down sometimes. When that happens, I open the door and close it and it starts to work again. Anyone know what the problem is? I am hoping maybe it could be a loose wire or something other than the motor... what do you think?

it is prolly the same thing that happened to me. Sometimes there is a carbon build up in the motor housing that causes the copper contact points to not connect. Kinda a pain in the butt, but if you take the door apart and pull out the motor, you can clean out the carbon and everything will prolly work again. My window did the same thing, and I did this and now it works fine. There is a great DIY on here with pics, but I don't remember where. Just do a search. Saved me alot of money replacing things unneccessarily...

if you're still under manufacturers warranty, bring it to the dealer and they will replace it with a brand new one. Its better to get brand new and its free.

happened to me and thats what i did.

mine does the same thing kinda. it goes up and goes down real fast for me. when i do the auto up. i told infiniti and they "tried" to fix it by changing the motor which wasnt the problem. I think its the switch. Im takin my car back to infiniti in a few days to get them to change the switch.. ill tell you how its goes!
