I recently bought the INFINITI letter emblem because I need to rebadge my car before it is returned. When I got it I checked it out and noticed that the lettering was not all along the same line, the "I" at the beginning of INFINITI and the "I" at the end of INFINITI were offset. I called the people that I bought the product from and they said that it is supposed to be that way because of the slope on the rear of the trunk. This didn't make much sense to me because if it were due to the slope I would assume the lettering would gently slope the entire length of the badge and not just have a severe offset at the beginning letter and the end letter. Also I test fit it on the back of the car to see if the truck really sloped that much to make up for the offset and it didn't seem to fit right because the back of the car where the emblem is supposed to be installed has barely any slope to it. Check out the pictures and let me know what you guys think and if anyone here has rebadged their cars if they got the same product as me.

 

yep, both of the outside "I"'s are higher than the rest...it is like that on all coupes

 

Yea I'm not sure. Has anyone else rebadged and noticed this? I took a look around the forum for other pictures and I saw someone selling the "SKYLINE" lettering emblem for the rear of the car and it looked like the S and the E were raised up as well. Is this normal?
