Aftermarket hood, security, and locking pins

I was thinking that I want an aftermarket hood, but I don't want brittle or cheap carbon fiber. Then I know that very well made carbon fiber is expensive. This might be weird, but I think I'd like a metal aftermarket hood with some vents. Anyone make one? My concern isn't for weight reduction, its more for engine bay security.

Anyone know how well made an authentic TS hood is?

Anyone think it would be weird if I put locking pins on my OEM hood (again engine bay security being my concern).
