side molding removal

Well I really hate the way those side moldings on the doors look, so I think when I wash/wax my baby this weekend, I'm gonna remove 'em (fishing line/goo gone). Just one thing I'm wondering, I've got a 2006 Athens Blue, do you guys think the paint has faded enough to where there would be darker paint underneath the moldings?

your fine.. take them off
you will see some different paint fade.. but in about 2 weeks it will go away. just keep polishing/ waxing it every 2 weeks.

I didnt need to use fishing line or floss or anything like that, I actually just pulled at one side of the moldings and all the tape came off aswell no residue stuck on or anything. Just a clean wash after and it was good to go. I did this to my 05 and I did it about a month ago and there isnt any paint fading. I have an OB coupe.
