Brushed aluminum grille on BS sedan?

I have a BS sedan and I am thinking about painting my stock grille brushed aluminum (semi gloss). I think I saw someone else on here did it, but can't find the pics. I don't want to paint it black because I don't want that much of a contrast, but still want somehting different. What do you guys think? Also does anyone know who, if anyone, did this so I can link to the pics. Thanks for the help and input.

I guess no one has any opinion on this. Guess I'll just try it out. Worst case I can paint it black if I don't like it.

Check post #2 on my thread. Used 3M sanding pads to remove the clearcoat between the spars. If you enlarge the two pics, it appears to have a brushed aluminum look. Got the idea from another member.

I'm liking both of those, now I have to make a decision on which I want to try. I guess I could try the 3M sanding and if I don't like it I could sand the rest and paint it. Boston, what grit 3M pad did you use? Also, just to make sure I understand, you only did the top and bottom of the bars and left the front alone? Did you clear coat when you were done or just leave it sanded? Thanks for the input and help.

^I don't recall the exact grit but I want to say 180 to start. I got the 3M sanding pads at Home Depot and they only had 3 different grit pads. I left the front of the spars stock and only did the tops. It's kind of tedious but I liked how it turned out. I didn't clear it afterwards.
