HELP! G35 Coupe Upholstery Peeling!!
Tips.
- Use credit cards/drivers license to lay down creases (top/bottom of vinyl) and insert in creases for overnight dry/cure.
- As mentioned previously, use blue painters tape to keep vinyl down overnight.
- To prevent overspray, mask off area with tape/newspaper. Don't have to get crazy with tape...just use good nozzle aim.
Gee whiz, upholstery shop wanted $300 to fix ($65 to restick passenger door vinyl and $235 to restick both rear quarter panels) and they told me they had to remove all panels to fix. As mentioned, I did not have to remove any panels and fixed all for $5 (cost of Loctite spray) and finished in 20 minutes.
Mine's doing the same.. can't believe it's happened to so many others, but feel relieved a lilttle. (just like the leaking windows)
Has anyone ever gotten a good answer from Infinito as to what causes it to happen or have had it happen while the warranty was valid and had them repair it?

They are just glued on and not sewn so the glue is going to break down at some point especially in areas that have more heat. Just spray glue them back on. Use 3M or the Loctite that some others mentioned. Make sure you use to cardboard or tape so you don't get over spray. Shouldn't take you more the 10-15 minutes and a can of glue costs less then $5.
