Hey, has anyone ever made a mod that makes the side mirrors automatically turn down while you reverse like some cars have? I scratched my rims the other day on the curb and thought how nice it would be if the mirrors would turn down automatically.

Raise your head up through the sunroof while your reversing and you get the same effect.

Seriously, I have that function on our Acura MDX and I personally don't like it, so I turn it off when i drive but my wife likes it and leaves it on.

I drove an Envoy with it for a while... I ended up turning it off, as I don't like drastic changes in perspective. I'll buy it as a mod, but I'll turn it off [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]

teach you a good trick...just use your left hand.
After you get into the parking possition, use ur left hand and turn the side mirror bottom to the right, push is downward and you got a automatic turn down side mirror without pushing ur mirror~

 

I have a jetta with this feature and I never used it. A complete waist of engineering time in my mind. Seat memory, that is something worth everyone's while.
