Ravspec cf diffuser.

I recently just picked one of these up from a member on the forum who says the fitment on it is good but after 4+ hours of fooling around with tape and then bolting it into place I still cant get a decent fit. Is there something im missing? The top outside corners are off by about 1/2 inch. I can actually push it into place but the pressure is to much for the tape (5lbs). Could i use some sort of glue to make the carbon fiber - plastic bond? The thing actually looks like fiberglass on the inside. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

I had the same problem with mine. After trying several thing I finally ended up with this 3M double sided tape from the auto parts store that is meant to hold on stuff like this. It is very thin, grey and super strong. It worked well for a few months then one side popped loose again, probably from the heat, water etc. So I bought some clear RTV (silicone) and squirted it in between the bumper and diffuser on that side and clamped in place over the weekend and its been holding tight since. The other side is still taped and holding well.

Edit: tape looks like this
