Changing 04 dash to 05?

I am planning to put a double DIN kit to install a receiver in my car and I was wondering: Is it possible to replace the current 04 with an 05?
Pictures are for( left to right)

I guess the question is:
1. Does the 04 AC work with the AC Controller of 05, if connected?
Anyone?

If you can pull this off, PLEASE PLEASE make sure to take pictures and make a DIY. I really want the upgraded dash. Are you going to do an upgraded to the speedometer/tachometer also?

I don't know of anyone who has tried it before. You might have to buy one and be the first. As for the trim parts, I think some custom work may be required to get all the new dash parts installed since the 03/04 replaces that whole part and the 05-07 just replaces the SS front part.

I really don't have the ***** to go it alone! I need to get some confirmation first. Trimming/customizing is fine since I have a good installer but the last thing I want to see is the electric circuits of my car fried b/c the AC Controller of 05 was not compatible the AC of 04!

05 ac controller works with 04 BUT you also need to change the temp display to change the temperature

my unfinished project... sigh.. one day.. maybe when i'm not working so much
