Replacing upper windshield molding & windshield nissan part number needed
Replacing upper windshield molding & windshield nissan part number needed
Like the titel already says I want to replace the upper windshield molding which goes between the windshield and the roof because the damn company which blacked out my roof cutted the weatherstrip a little bit
The infiniti repair manual says that the molding is fixed together with the windshield so you have to put out the whole glass to remove the molding.
I need to know if theres a chance to replace it without changing the windshield and if someone already did this.
Since I live in germany and there is no infintiti dealership in the whole country its very very difficult to get a new windshield for my G.

the nissan dealerships around my town dont wanna help me out because they cannot look for japanese VQ35 skyline parts.
So it would be great if someone can help me out with the nissan part number for the windshield which I can take to replace for my G35.
Thanks to all for your support

Well when my family got a new Corolla, there was a bad rattle that kept getting increasingly worse coming from the back. Turns out it was the rear windshield, it looked fine and everything but was slowly shaking itself loose or something along those lines because the messed it up a little bit putting it in at the factory. They took the whole thing out and re-sealed the entire thing I'm pretty sure. It was repaired at the dealer BTW.
Basically, from what I gathered it seems like you won't be able to just replace a single strip, especially if you don't know what you are doing. I would look for any windshield repair shops around you to do it for you or just live with it. You don't need a windshield, you just need to find someone who knows what they are doing.

No, there is two parts to the strip. There is a clip that is glued to the car (be-careful not to rip this off) and then there is your strip. You should be able to gently pull off the old strip and put the new one on. But I'm still having difficulty putting the new strip on.
