Mine was a door ding in front of the driver door on the fender. The ding in the middle is still slightly visible, but the dent around the ding (silver dollar size) is gone completely now.

Didn't hurt the paint at all. Although the paint wasnt chipped or anything to start with either. We tried it on my coworkers car too and it fixed one but not another. I think it just depends on the dent. I dont see how it would hurt the paint, its just cold air. It turns to ice on the paint and worms back up.

Actually they are differnet gases that are easily compressed into liquids such as difluoroethane, trifluoroethane, or tetrafluoroethane.

They actually sell stuff called freeze spray. It is actually designed to freeze things. Basically exact same thing as canned air but has a dip tube in the can to expell the liquid without turning it upside down. Not as common to find.
