Hood closing issue

For some reason, my hood has been a not fully closing as of late. I've noticed this about 1 month ago, where the hood is more to the left, and the right side of the engine is a bit exposed. But when I went to replace my windsheild wiping fluid last night, my go to close my hood and about 5inches of the engine is showing, and the hood is sticking up. Has anyone had this issue? And is there a way to resolve this without going to the machinic?

Well I was told my hinges that hold the hood on are bent, is that an expensive fix? And would it be covered under factory warranty? Any help would be appreciated.

Take to do the dealer and demand warranty coverage.. The hinge has been an issue with our cars since 2003. Time to grease mine up.

if it isnt covered, the DIY isnt that bad.

dont have to remove the fenders, you can peel them back just enough to get the hinges in and out. be really careful not to drop any bolts into the gap in the panels, getting them back is annoying ^_^
