Gauges 101?

Hey guys,

I'm currently building out a motor for the Greddy TT 20G kit. Anyway, one area where I've not gotten anywhere is gauges. From what I can tell, there are dozens of gauges available to monitor all sorts of things. Obviously I can't have a gauge for everything there just isn't enough room. I really don't want my car to look "crowded".

Here are some gauges that seem to be a necessity:
  • Boost (PSI)
  • Oil pressure/temp
  • Air/Fuel mixture
...

Am I missing anything, considering I'm going with the TT setup on a built motor? There are so many gauges to choose from so I guess I'm just looking for a bit of direction on what to monitor and then which gauges/pods, etc. to look into.

Thanks!
B

thats the standard set up, if you have a double din or stock nav i think there is a few softwhere options that you can use to show more gauges on the screen but those three should be enoungh with a proper tune

I'm using an Eclipse AVN5435 but the A/V input is currently being used by the PS2 in my glove box. So I'm guessing the driver's side gauge pod pillar is my best bet. Where else could I mount them? I've heard the plastic finisher around the stick shift (with the ashtray/hazard button) can be customized to house them as well.

Thanks!

well the A pilar is the easiset place to mod with out any custom work.

some people have made mounts the fit on top of the clock by the windsheild and it looks pretty clean but its not easy to do

puttin one on the ash is hard but looks clean

all depends on how much you want to spend
