G35's Weak Paint

As we all know the paint on the g35 sucks! I am super careful when washing my car by hand using a 2 bucket system with grit guards the whole 9.....Somehow I can still scratch my car!! Its getting really annoying especially having a black G. So I am going to ask a stupid question......Would it help or even be possible (after I have gotten my little scratches out) to have someone professional put 2 extra coats of clear coat on my G? Would this help my G from not getting scratched so easy? The clear coat that is on there now is so thin and you can literally scratch it with a finger nail. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated....Thanks

Not really because the scratches are surface scratches. They are actually on the clear coat not on the paint so even if you spray the car with 30 coats the scratches will still appear.

What kind of scratches are you talking about? Swirls or what?

Try using Meguiars: ScratchX
It's not cheap, but works well.

I'm not so worried about the scratches, as I can get those out by buffing. My only concern is to not get scratches on my car so easy lol. It scratches waaaaaayyyy too easy, so thats why I was asking if extra coats of clear would help it from being scratched so easy.

Get your whole car wrapped in clear bra.

Infiniti's clear coat is pretty soft.

If you get the car sprayed with 2x clear coat and you make sure it's very hard. Then you won't scratch as easy. There is a company that makes clear coat, diamond hard something or other? I can't remember the name. Try googling it, but see if you can find a place that sprays with that stuff, I've heard good things.
