Prepwork for fiberglass impuls?

Is anyone familiar with there being alot of prepwork before having their fiberglass impuls painted? I jus ordered a set of fiberglass sideskirts and by the time they got to me they looked like trash. That had little nitches and scratches on them and flats spots all over. basically everything that would cause a paint job to look like crap after. They seem a lil flimsy as well. The seller claims that they are in this condition because it's fiberglass it's "raw" form. Has anyone ever ordered a set of impuls in this condition? Is this normal? Do they stiffen up and even out after prep and paint? I'm debating on sending them back n getting them from czp but I don't want to get the same exact thing back all over again. Anyone have any experience with impuls cracking under any conditions? That's another one of my big fears. Below are so of the flaws found on the ones I recieved.

I bought mine from him as welll and they are pretty much exactly as you describe and show in the pictures. I am not sure if it is common or not but it didn't seem so bad that the body shop wont be able to take care of it.
