Price Question.

When I was loading groceries into my trunk yesterday at a grocery store, a Buick pulled in right next to me and an old lady (passenger) hit my car as she opened her door. It made a deep scratch about half a inch long. I wasn't happy but Im in the process of doing touch up so I wasn't that angry until the driver started talking. He told me "It was an accident. She is not responsible for it." He is like 70 years old. He also told me "It was the door that hit your car." I told him "well then it's your fault." I was gonna forgive her but he refused to take the responsibility as an adult, now I am going to get money from his insurance company since the vehicle is responsible for accidents in MO. I had to call cops to get information from him.

Now...

How much does a dealer charge for touch up paint?
I'm talking about completely (wash, sand, wash, alcohol, touch up, layer, clear coating, sanding, buffing, polishing, and sealing.)

Have him pay for it whatever it costs.

Exactly!!!!! Where is morality? While they talk about younger generation being stupid, they should also slap themselves in the face. His insurance company gave me $400. I think that's a fair price. The old man told me to go to walmart and get a 3 dollar touch up pen and fix it. I wanted to him in the face! I have everything to fix it so I am going to do that this weekend.

Wow.. sounds like an angry old man there on your hands.

The touch up paint itself wont be that much at all... its just a matter of touching it up and not being able to see the damage afterwards.

good luck and post some pics afterwards letting us know how it went
