Front Grill Removal- How?
Does anyone know how to remove the front grill? After removing the six clips from the top of the grill and bumper facia, I can't figure out how to remove the turn fasteners that hold the grill to the bumper facia.
Thanks in advance.

After the four round clips on top of the grill, there are two square screws in the upper outer corners near the headlights (reachable through the grill) that must be turned 1/4 to 1/2, then you just pull the grill away from the car sliding the tabs out of the slots at the bottom of the grill/top of bumper cover.
Oh, be careful with the square screws in the upper outer corners, they are plastic and may break if turned too far.
Hope this helps!

I used a narrow flat screwdriver. If you look closely (maybe with a flashlight) you will see the slot.
I waxed my grill and bumper area while I had it off. I even took off the Infiniti emblem and waxed the grill underneath. Kinda excess, huh. Oh well, I just wanted to check out the sensor between the grill and the radiator. The sensor looks like either a temp sensor or maybe something for the airbag. ??
Best wishes!

Thanks again. I never noticed the thin slot before. I'll try a screw driver on it tomorrow.
BTW, That sensor behind the grill is the 'Ambient Sensor' that reads the outside temperatures on your Climate Control display.

Great to know! I thought I was going to have to give the part number to service and ask what it was. I'm not really sure why I wanted to know, I think I was just curious.
Now that I know, I wonder if this sensors placement confirm the wacky outside temp readings when starting the car that a number of people reported...

You only need to turn them 1/8 of a turn, then the grill will move forward. I think that you can remove the Infiniti badge once you have the grill off.

I think you can turn either way. You just want to match up the shape of the square to line up with the square hole.

BTW, make sure that the garage or where ever you're working is fairly warm. What you're doing is twisting the shaft of that black plastic stud. In cold temperatures, it might snap off!

If you are talking about the coupe, after removing the fasteners on top, there is a tab on each side of the upper portion of the grill that expands after it is pushed through the facia. The part that expands faces up and down, not side to side. If you squeeze it togother with some needle nose pliers and pull out it will come away from the facia. There are locking tabs on the bottom as well but are pretty easy to remove. I did it while the facia was of, which might have made it easier.
