Exclamation My car is stuck in Neutrual!!!

i did a really stupid thing and i shutoff my car while i was still in drive and now i cant put my car in park and the shifter light is tuck in the park position. I need some help guys

Try turning on the car, and moving it into park.

nad dude i did that and it wont budge.... but the red strip that indicates what gear your in is still stuck in park and

presuming u drive an automatic...

unplug the battery and try to move it to park

yeah dude i tried but i cant put it in park its something phiscally blocking it...some dude recomended for me to go under the car and relase a wire and put in park...but i idk what he is talking about.

Pull the shift know off and make sure the button is engaging the plunger. Also, put your foot on the break when you're trying to move it with the shift lock. Sometimes they go into a safe mode (like when in park) and need the brake to be engaged to release the shifter.

check a fuse as well..this happened to me and my fuse went out in my car.....I think it was a result of my brake light fuse or something like that.

thanks guys i have fixed the problem. the reason behind this is that underneath my trim piece a piece of plastic wasnt sliding propretly whenever i was transitioning from gears. Realy akward problem thanks again for all the input.

I think I had the same issue but mine was that my brake wouldnt release the parking brake to switch into gear....

theres suspose to be a wire u can release to put it back into park. ive heard that from a few people too but not sure since i drive mt

yeah its down in the shifter panel area...you just pull off the shifter to release the brake and you can still drive it.
