flood lights
Just bought a G today but havent taken delievery of it yet. I was wondering if anyone has got rid of the ugly orange/yellow flood lights. Can you just scrape this coating off or what?
Re: flood lights
No you can't scrape them off. You can purchase clear sets from several places. EverythingG35.com sells them for $38

Re: flood lights
There are two lights you might be referring to, so here's info on both.
If you are talking about the light on the side of the vehicle, just in front of the tire, most people refer to that as a corner light. It is pretty inexpensive and easy to buy "clear corners" and replace them.
If you are talking about the turn signal that is part of the headlight assembly, that is MUCH harder. In order to change that, you have to remove the headlight assembly, take it apart (by baking it to loosen the glue), dremel out the plastic, and then put it back together. A SMALL number of poeple have done this. One thing to note, if you mess up the housing they are ~$800 EACH.

weclome aboard smokeator! Ignore the wisea$$ remarks....the folks around like to have fun and forget about first impressions.
If you can get a little more specific on the location of these orange beasties, I'm sure you'll get an answer you need.
Cheers, ted
