Unhappy Replacing the rear bumper, need ideas/suggestions/info

My 'tarded friend backed into my car in the parking lot. Gouged a hole in the rear bumper. He said a piece of styrofoam came out, and he tried to stick it back in through the hole I can see a piece of it sticking out of the hole now.

So, now I have to get the bumper replaced. Not sure how much it would cost and what my options were. One of my options was to buy a used bumper, and get it mounted. I was "assuming" that after-market bumpers would be cheaper than OEM. But, I am not sure on how much it would cost to paint them and mount them. I was thinking about buying this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...#ht_3577wt_940

anybody have any prior experience with these? I like the look just as much as I like the OEM look. I am not going after looks here.. Is the quality on the same par? And what's with styrofoam in the stock bumper?

TIA

2003 G35 Coupe Black

With a replica kenstyle bumper, being that cheap more than likely youre going to spend more money getting it to fit and then painted.

Youre looking around 500 to get that fitted and painted.
So about 800 total. Better have your friend pay for that.

That styrofoam is to help with the "crush". Quality, youre going from poly to fiberglass. Fiberglass is prone to breakage if not reinforced, but easy to repair. Its up to you.

Like I said you better get on your friends *** to pay for that.

BTW I got my replica kstyle rear from AIT and it a little more than that, but fitment was a nightmare, luckily I have an awesome body shop to go to. They are doing Big Black's SRT challenger in matte black.

Thanks for the response. So, I would assume that the cheapest option close to OEM would cost me around $800? Are they are any poly bumpers I could buy? Is there a good place to look for these replacement parts?

Yes you can get poly bumpers. Its preferred that you get poly for the front because its more durable, there are pros and cons to both. But either way, to replace your bumper look to spend some money to get it looking right unless you go OEM. Call Tony at Riverside or your local infiniti dealer and get a quote for an oem bumper and if it comes prepainted or not.

Dustin, I am looking for a rear bumper.

Jackus, Thanks again. I just called the dealer and I was told that the rear bumper is $462.08 and comes unpainted.

Not sure where you live but assume 40/hr labor at about 4-6 hours plus materials to paint and install.

Sonny, that would be ideal. I posted here in marketplace, don't know other gay g forums u are talking about.

Jackus, thanks for the offer. I would've jumped on it if it was black.

After doing some reading, I realized that the Kenstyle rear bumper would sit lower than the stock sides. I don't think I will want to replace the whole kit. So my option is pretty much OEM.

I looked at the Chargespeed too. I think it sits lower than the Kenstyle, and besides for some reason, it looks to me like a polished/clear-coated play-dough stuck in the back. No lines. It's like that tombstone in the Deathrace movie. But, I have some weird taste

Does it? I thought it was similar to oem, oh well. I would Strafe to see what would work best as far as height and your taste goes.
