I read a diy on how to install led strips, but it seems impossible to ground the run the wire all the way into the fuse box because my wires are too short. Each led strip has wires that are about 2 ft. long. The only place where I can probably reach the wires to are my side markers, but I want the led strip to be on all the time regardless of headlight operation.

Buy some real cheap 20 gauge speaker wire or similar. strip the wire jacket about an inch, twist/crimp/solder the exposed end of the wire onto the leads of the strip.

You have now extended the leads.

I'm pretty much a noob for this **** too but its REALLY easy for someone who knows what they're doing like a lot of my friends here.

You have to splice the wire and go buy some of the same guage wire from a radio shack or something and then splice that too.. Twist the wires together and tape the exposed parts with black electric tape.

Same thing I said except I left out the black electrical tape. Good post.
