Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done

You are absolutely right... it's more my fault than anything... It's just that 5am was looming and I was glad to call it "finishied", but of course I really wanted to say ".... for the day"... It's not the first time... I take things for granted and skip a couple of steps in my thinking, as I present them in my writing.
Also, thanks for being honest.... i would expect nothingless.
OK... I did a little more tinkerign today... pushed the grille in a little... now it's flush, and YOU ARE RIGHT, it looks FAR better. My original conception wa definitely faulty, and version 1.1(beta) is far better. No pics yet.... hopefully tomorrow.
In fact, I think I may finally have done it today, something is definitely broken now, will post in the "my car is smoking" thread. Gettign really frustrated.
G
BTW: "doh" on my part WRT to the "fabric" term.

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done
I have not featured any pictures of my handiwork... right? ;-)
I can usually envision what I want to do, but I don't always have the requisite mechanical ability to bring it to fruition. Sometimes I may go through several iterations before I reach an acceptable conclusion, learning new skills along the way. I guess that's what you're going through now. Don't get too frustrated: A bad day in the garage is better than a good day at work. Have fun with it.

YEAHH looks 100x better! Want to make me two lower grills for my coupe? How did you make it? You wouldnt't have to paint it I will get them powdercoated black.

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done
I will post better pics (on a sunny day) when I can (don't hold your breath).
Joey... not sure I can do that again. Doing a solid job, as I think I did (not perfect though, i do se a few imperfections), takes a LONG time. Given that school starts Thursday, I am not going to have any time, period.
Also, the stock grille was used as a rough template for this grille... having no template at all will be much tougher. If/when I do a one off piece for myself, I will try to make some sort of a mold, so that I can make more of those.
