hey everyone i was just wondering if anyone knew how to take off the OEM sideskirts on a G35 Coupe?


i searched and couldnt find no DIY's or anything.

 

Undo the screws on the front and back and along the bottom, and pull..

theres no clips on the OEM skirts are there? so if i pull i wont damage nothing.
so im guessing theres 2 front screws,2 rear screws and a few screws on the bottom
of the skirts correct?

 

Even if you are carefull you are going to break some clips. There are like 5-6 10mm underneath and a couple philips head screws front and back.

 

Yeah I think there are 5 or 6 screws on the bottom 10mm I believe.. Once u undo the screws there are clips but u can't see them.. Just give them a slight pull and they will come off.. They hold the skirts to the car.. They probably will break..

im suprised noone has made a DIY on how to remove Oem skirts.
i think i just might make one lol.

so if i do break some clips it doesnt matter right? do i need to purchase new
clips to put my nismo skirts on?( the nismo skirts i purchased has all the holes drilled already and fitted)

where exactly are these clips you speak of on the OEM skirts?

 

lol i remember when i took mine off, was scared to do but its a piece of cake, your def going to brake the clips, but it doesnt matter your not going to need them,i dont remember if i took of my kickplates, but i do remember around that area u have to pull. and then your going to hear a CRACK, clips breaking, but keep pulling, lol GL

So after I take out all the screws I should push down on the oem skirts where the kickplates are?

Anyone kno how many clips are on the oem skirts??

 

I need to pull mine off to repaint. these clips that are going to break lol, where do i get new ones?

and ya a diy would be nice.

 

It's so easy, really a DIY is not needed. The clips are located where the door is. If you do it carefully you might break one or 2 clips, i broke none. Just dont rip em off haha and you're good.

 

So take off all the screws and then pull down.
