Rear oem bumper mod

Planing on moding my oem bumper. But my question is
1. Is the oem bumper ABS plasctic?
2. How well does fiberglass stick to ABS?

I'm pretty sure the oem bumpers are urethane. I think you'll get a better adhesion if you sand the bumper with 80 or 220 grit and use kitty hair or polyurethane but I'm not 100% sure

Im using 120g sandpaper where there is light coats of fiberglass and 80 on heavy. Got advise from a family freind that does body work.

oem bumpers are abs plastic.

Yup, ABS plastic is the way to go for ultra high quality items. The only downfall is that it's expensive which is why Poly is used so much ( it's a cheaper alternative ).
