Sorry, I changed gears on you, so I think you missed my point.

What I was saying was that while the clear tail idea may not catch on (making it less than economical for you to make one set), you still have a place that can mold/replicate stuff. So what about the fronts? There is no one selling replacement headlight lenses, and there may actually be a demand for them.

I don't know... for some reason the thought of replacement headlight lenses just had me really excited...

WOW!!! I kind of like that! Can't wait to see pix of this when it's on the car.

Cut your tail lights apart, get an exterior mold with Fiberglass, take that and make an interior mold with clay (the kind that hardens and can take heat), then use the clay mold to lay thin Lexan over, apply heat, trim the edges... you have a clear lense.

I get you now, dude. I think for even the cost of a replacement plastic for the headlights, it's much cheaper to sand them/buff them out, or just buy new headlights if you don't have 06+ projectors. I'd rather wetsand my heads rather than spending $250 for new lenses. But, the idea is still good, if only it was much more cost effective.

Leksikon, if I get a donor tail light from somewhere, I'll definitely have to try that.

I really don't think you would be able to make a profit selling those. Doesn't seem like there is a huge demand for them :/

One of the reasons I love the G are the factory LED tail lights... to this day alot of cars are still behind on this.... to add aftermarket ones I think are cheezy..and i have yet to see any quality aftermarket lights period. I bought the non JDM front clear corners and used them for about 2 months...then they got moisture in them...I bought the real JDM ones and never had any problems..... you get what u pay for
