Fading plastic base around Mirror

My side mirrors are in good shape, but the plastic base around it are faded. Does anyone have suggestions on replacing, painting or correcting this. Here's a picture of it (attached).

Black WOW is what you need. It lasts a long time and gives it a nice dark sheen.

Question

Has anybody used the blue batmobile overlays? Im considering purchasing but I'm worried that they make look cheap or cheezy. How hard is it to paint? Any idea how to get them off?

This should help....

https://g35driver.com/forums/interio...ghlight=mirror

It's actually not that difficult, just takes patience and some time. If you don't mind a matte blackish color with some slight satin look, go with Montana Gold Shock Black paint. No need for sanding or primer, just spray and it's done. Looks clean and is weather proof I believe. Here's some pics of it that I used on my wheels.

Sounds ghetto, but it works as a great tire shine as well...my friend used it on his cos he was lazy when he painted his wheels and it came out clean.

When you get it though, get the white or light grey tips. No dripping as long as it doesn't get clogged and it's an even spray.

Mothers back to black is awesome. Just used it, but I have kept up with other protectants so it wasn't real bad. Did this and wiper cowl.

Anyone try the Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant Dash & Trim Restorer? Any better than back to black?

I haven't, but I think I would go with Back to Black as it is proven and always comes up in these types of threads.

Just did the back to black the other day on the plastic base and the wiper cowl (never noticed how faded it was....real bad!). It worked great! Just hope it lasts long enough.
